She was born in Harrisburg and had lived most her life in Trumann. She was a housewife and member of the Landmark Pentecostal Worship Center Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Rhoads; two sisters, one brother and her parents, Joseph and Mary Hines Barnes.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Rhoads of the home; four daughters, Martha May Rhoads, Linda Scercy and Tanya Rhoads of Trumann and Mary Eldridge of Tyronza; two sons, Charles Rhoads and Carl Rhoads, both of Trumann; seven sisters, Betty Crouch, Wanda Halsey, Kay Rodgers, Francis Battles and Molly Rasdon, all of Trumann, Lola Lesley-Finch of Paragould and Sue Carter of Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, Johnny Barnes of Trumann and Jerry Barnes of Cave City; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the Landmark Pentecostal Worship Center in Trumann with Rev. Bobby Russell officiating.
Active pallbearers were Charles Rhoads, Jimmy Kain, Carl Holt, Jim Bonham, Orville Halsey, Robert Kiplinger, Ronnie Carter and Brian Scercy. Honorary pallbearers were Boddie Williams, Ivan Buckner, Robert Eldridge and Ortenzo Frazier.
