He was born in Craighead County and had lived in Trumann for the past 40 years, he was formerly of Memphis. He was a retired factory worker and member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Allen Talbot; four sisters; two brothers and his parents, Marcus Paulus Talbot, Sr. and Cara Ann Higginbotham Talbot.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Talbot of the home; three daughters, Anna Talbot of Trumann, Juane Gibson of Tampa, Fla. and Marsha Murphee of Port Richey, Fla.; one son, Wade Talbot of Jonesboro; one step-son, Clayton Eugene Furnas of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Anita Whitlatch of Trumann; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Marked Tree with Chris Simmons officiating.
