He was born in Malden, Mo. and had lived most his life in Trumann before moving to Jonesboro. He was a tile setter, a singer and song writer, veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War and of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Bell, Sr. and Donna Sue Waddle Wagner.
He is survived by one daughter, Alicia Marie Bell of Chicago, Ill,; two sisters, Patricia Patterson of Trumann and Gloria Hecht of Jonesboro and two brothers, Gary Bell and Glenn Bell, both of Trumann.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Chad O'Brien officiating.
Burial followed at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
