Edward King

Edward King, 91, of Imboden, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

He wad born in Craighead County and had lived in the Trumann and Bono area before moving to Imboden earlier this year. He was a retired carpenter and member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church where he was the oldest member of the church. He was also a member of the senior adult men's Sunday school class.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Chapman King; by his second wife, Maggie Parish Mills King; one son, Tony King and by seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by one daughter, Janet Latham of Imboden; one son, Bill Kink of Menagha, MN; one step-son, Carroll Mills of Trumann and one sister, Bertha Jackson of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren, Sherri Benton of Reston, Va., Sharon Harbey of Lenoir City, Tenn., Scott King of Walcott, Jerion Henson of Jonesboro and Carol Harrelson of Trumann and eight great-granchildren, Jaclyn Benton, Will Benton, Chris Seay, Brittney Taylor, Tony King, Sarah Henson, Anna Henson and Maggie Henson.

Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Harold Box, Wayne Hogan, Bob Walton, Alex Latham, Dale Whitlatch and Ed Fortson. Honorary pallbearers were the senior adult men and senior adult women Sunday school classes at Maple Grove Church.
