Jack C. Tarver, 91, of Trumann died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at his residence of natural causes.

He was born in Manila, Ark. And lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a retired employee of the singer company in Trumann and was member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Tarver in 2002, five brothers, one sister and was the son of the late John H and Lilly M Grant Tarver. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Calvary Pentecostal Church with Reverend Ricky Forbis, Reverend Eugene Loven and Reverend Jonathan Forbis officiating.

He is survived by his children: Donna Lee Smith of Covina, Calif., Dallas Tarver of Trumann, Earnie Tarver of Pas Paw, Mich., Jackie Tarver of Brookland, and Tommy Soward of Harrisburg; his sister Kathryn Berryman of Payneway; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Tom Soward, Darrell Tains, Gary Holmes, Devin Beaumont, David Rodgers and Mike Freeman. Honorary Pallbearers wee Vernon Forbis, James Freeman, Roy Kilgore, Ray Whittingham, Frank McElyea and William Long.
