He was born in Bay and had lived most his lifetime in the Bay and Trumann area. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Simpson; one sister, Joyce Simpson and one brother, Gale Simpson.
He is survived by his mothers, Rivers Moss of Trumann; a step-daughter, Tanya Crites of Alton, Mo.; one sister, Tracy Thomas of Alton, Mo.; five brothers, Garry Simpson and Teddy Simpson, both of Alton, Mo., Jackie Simpson of Bay, David Simpson and Chris Simpson, both of Trumann and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at the Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg with Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating.
Pallbearers were Jerry Simpson, Kevin Rusher, Ronnie Thompson, Terry Durbin, Jackie Simpson, Jr. and Robert Bartlett.
