Donald Edward Chaffin, 63, of Redondo Beach, Calif, formerly of Trumann died Monday, Oct. 24 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Trumann he lived in Redondo Beach since 1963. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Chevron Oil Company in El Segundo, Calif. for 30 years and of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Chaffin of the home; one daughter, Donna Fay Heltsley of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one son, Michael Wayne Chaffin of Torrance, Calif.; one sister, Mona Jean Forbes of Roseburg, Or.; one brother, Charles Chaffin of Roseburg, Or. and two grandchildren, Spencer Heltsley and Emily Heltsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford and Mildred Lowery Chaffin.

A memorial service was Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Jim Harrison officiated. A private burial followed.
