She was born in Marked Tree on Friday, Sept. 7, 1934, the daughter of S. L. and Bertie Harbison Dempsey. She lived lived most of her lifetime in Truman. She was retired from the singer Company and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford L. Moody, an infant sister and her mother.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Moody of Trumann; two grandchildren, Kim Sims of Truman and Amy Qualls of Conway; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Webb and Keiron Sims both of Trumann; her father, S. L. Dempsey of Benton; her sister, Norma Lindsey of Harrisburg and two brothers, Claudia Dempsey and Tommy Dempsey both of Benton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg.
Pallbearers were Terry Moody, Andy Deason, Robbie Deason, Bob Watts, Jason Watts and Wesley Runyan.
