Charles "Charlie" Walter Barnes, 48, of Trumann died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro of lung cancer.

He was born on Jan. 5, 1957 in Trumann. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Larkin and Abanell Curtis.

He is survived by two daughters, Jackie Simpson and Dana Barnes, both of Trumann; two sons, Charles Walter Barnes, II and David Barnes, both of Trumann; two brothers, Jerry Barnes of Alabama and Douglas Barnes of Clebourn, Miss. and three grandchildren, Billy Joe Simpson, II, Brent Simpson and Tanner Simpson.

There were no funeral service as Barnes was cremated.
