Reya Pauline Carter, 81, of Marked Tree died Dec. 23, 2005 at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents George McIntosh and Mildred Lynch McIntosh and a son, Jesse Earl Carter.

She is survived by her husband, James Earl Carter; five daughters, Mary Hayse of Marked Tree, Janette Osment of Trumann, Reya Ferguson of Little Rock, Elisa Justice of Wynne and Tammy Pritchett of Greeneville, Miss; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at Black Oak Baptist Church in Black Oak. Burial followed at Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.

Active pallbearers were Chris Bratton, Carter Ferguson, Ricky Strange, Blake Stephens, Shawn Coty Davis and Wesley Osment.

Honorary pallbearers were Hieth Pritchett, Karl Justice, Jr., Justin Tacker and Charles Osment.

Memorials can be made to the Black Oak Baptist Church.
