Jimmie D. Blunk, 66, of Trumann died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Corning and had lived in Trumann for the past 20 years. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, former Trumann Police officer, deputy for the Poinsett County Sheriff's Dept. and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Owens and his parents, James and Evelyn Nesbit Blunk.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Blunk, of the home; three daughters, Lawanna Kay Blunk, Loretta Lunsford and Leanna Brinson all of Corning; a brother, Larry M. Blunk of Trumann; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Lunsford, Charles Ross Lunsford and Adam Anderson.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
