Lonnie Darrell Sims

Lonnie Darrell Sims, 57, of Trumann died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Trumann and a lived there all of his life. Sims was a machinist for Bob's Auto Parts in Jonesboro and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and was the son of the late Joseph C. and Verna C. Pruett Sims.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Kay Sims of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Kim Sims of Trumann; one sister, Zelda Dycus of Olive Branch, Miss.; one brother, J. Doyle Sims of Jackson, Miss.; and two grandchildren, Danielle Webb and Keiron Sims both of Trumann.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Pallbearers were Larry Moody, John Turner, Larry Church, Gary Church, Terry Halfacre, John Barnett, Dell Hannon and Kirk Long.
