Bertha Irene Parrish

Mrs. Bertha Irene Parrish, 86, of Russellville, formerly of Trumann, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at the family residence.

She was born in Walnut Grove and had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann and Monette area before moving to Russellville. She was a housewife and a member of the Trumann Revival Center.

Parrish was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene and Bobby Parrish; three sisters; four brothers and was the daughter of the late W. P. and Pearlie Mae Haywood Henderson.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Firest Stanford Parrish of the home; four daughters, Brenda Kennedy of Trumann, Marcella Despard and Rhonda Davis both of Russellville and Angela Hervey of Springdale; two sons, Jerry Parrish of Mountain Home and James A. Parrish of Russellville; one sister, Hazel Taylor of Memphis.; two brothers, Roy Henderson of Jonesboro and Marion Henderson of Hutchinson, Kansas; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two great-great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were Monday, Feb. 6, 2006 at Macey Cemetery near Monette with Rev. Tom Welman officiating. Burial followed with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.
