Ralph Roberts

Ralph "Buddy" Roberts, 76, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Trumann and had lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He was a security guard with Ralph Boling Security for 12 years and was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129 and American Legion. He was of the Church of Christ belief.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Roberts of the home; three sons, Bob Roberts, Tony Roberts and Rick Roberts and his wife, Lisa, all of Jonesboro; one daughter Debbie Horvei of Moore, Okla.; two sisters, Violet Roberts and Gean Roberts, both of Jonesboro and Chris Horvei of Moore, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cue R. and Luner Bell Gurley Roberts and one brother, Mayo Roberts.

A celebration of his life was Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 in the Magnolia Chapel at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Lee Roberts officiating with Masonic rites to follow. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Lee "Junior" Roberts, Leroy "Jabo" Green, Donnie Hendrix, Matt Hurst, Dr. john Everett Wilson and Jeremy Pyle. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Pyle, Billy Baker, Bobby Baker and Dr. F.M. Wilson.
