Claudia Jo Shrout

Claudia Jo Shrout, 56, of Trumann died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born in Jonesboro and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a nurse for Comprehensive Learning Center in Jonesboro, a member of the Curton Chapter of the Ya Ya Sisterhood and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Edward and Betty Jo Byrd Curton.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ray Shrout of the home; one daughter, Cindy Denise Bridges of Lake City; a son, Gregory Alan Shrout of Trumann; two sisters, Charlotte Roach of Trumann and Penny McGreal of Spanish Fort, Ala.; a brother, Gary Curton of Jonesboro and three grandchildren, Haley Morgan Bridges, Jimmy Dwight Bridges and Evan Lang Shrout.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 11 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral home of Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers and Rev. Jamison May officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Jimmy Allen, Bob Crowe, Tommy Coots, Gary May, Gary Craig and Joe Bridges.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Watson Jr., Duane Horn, Don Wisdom and Phil Ball.

Memorials may be made to the Comprehensive Learning Center in Jonesboro or to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
