Gladys Alice Gossett, 85 of Trumann, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Gossett was born in Lepanto and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. She and her husband, Ray, owned and operated Gossett Restaurant in Trumann for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Gossett Sr. and her parents, Raymond and Virgie Hicks Stutts.

She is survived by two sons, Ray W. "Sonny" Gossett, Jr. of Jonesboro and William David Gossett of Trumann; a sister, Louise Beakley of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Dayna Lynn Shrout of Trumann, Michael D. Gossett of Heidelburg, Germany and Ray W. "Trey" Gossett, III of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Gossett and Evan Shrout.

Funeral services were Sunday, April 2 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. A private burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were David Jobe, Art Beakley, Scott Jobe, Bill Gossett, Larry Gossett and Roy Gossett.
