Born in Dyess, Reeves lived several years in Trumann before moving to Bay in 1978. He was an employee of Roach Manufacturing for 28 years and was a Security Guard for Boling Security for many years.
Reeves was a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Army with three tours of Vietnam and also served six years in the Arkansas National Guard following active duty. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Trumann and was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Reeves, Sr., by a granddaughter: Stephanie Carmer; and by two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Veal Reeves of the home; two daughters, Sherry Carmer and Stacy Timms, both of Bay; one son, Jason Reeves of Harrisburg; one son, Jason Reeves of Harrisburg; his mother, Willie Reeves of Trumann; two sisters: Dorothy Nichols of Ola and Adena McMasters of Corning; and five grandchildren: Sarah Timms, Emily Timms, Zachary Carmer, Mariah Carmer and Jeremy Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 25 at First United Pentecostal Church of Trumann with Rev. Murray Ray, Rev. Harold Anderson and Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers include Jason Reeves, Reggie Thomas, Clyde Muntz, Carmen McMasters, Mike Frisby and David McMasters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8 at First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann.
