He was born on June 16, 1922 at Grange to Daniel Webster and Susie Agnes Davis Puckett. He was a retired district manager for Ferrell Gas in Batesville, a US Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Church of Christ at Quail Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Clyde Puckett, Vern Puckett, Olen Puckett and Deal Puckett; one sister, Ruth Andrews; and one grandson, Chris Posey.
He is survived by his wife, Novela Wilkins Puckett, of the home; two daughters: Jeanette Bennett of Batesville and Donna Beth Smith of Jonesboro; one brother, Wayne Puckett of Magnolia; three grandchildren: Joey Smith and Nancy Quirrels both of Jonesboro and Robin Green of Maumelle; one great-grandson, Tyler Koller of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 6 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Leonard Westbrook and John Ledgerwood officiating. Burial followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Alfred Barnett, David Moore, Roger Hopper, Ed Koettel, Rick Clark and Clifton Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Church of Christ at Quail Valley.
