in Leachville, the daughter of Thomas Wesley Norwood and Sylvia Pewitt
Norwood. She died Friday, July 21, 2006 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro
and was 63.
Mrs. Moss had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was a
retired school teacher for the Trumann Public School system; member of the
Master Gardeners of Jonesboro and was gloriously saved at Central Missionary
Baptist Church in Trumann in April of 1965 and was a member of the Maple
Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by one brother, Arlis Eugene Norwood; one
sister, Bettie Norwood and her mother, Sylvia Pewitt Norwood.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Danny E. Moss of the home; a
daughter, Cathy Sellers of Bald Knob; a son, Tom Moss of Boonsboro,
Maryland; her father, Tom Norwood of Trumann; one sister, Christine Deloris
Speakman of Pocahontas; one brother, Thomas Evert Norwood of Thousand Oaks,
Calif.; and four grandchildren, John Philip Easley, Matthew Edward Easley,
Sarah R. Byrd and Victoria Elizabeth Moss.
Funeral services were Monday, July 24, 2006 in the chapel of Thompson
Funeral Home in Trumann, with Dr. Jim Shaw and Rev. Bill Maxwell
officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were George Cash, Freddy Farmer, Larry Henderson, Harold
Pankey, Gary Smith and Dale Whitlatch. Honorary pallbearers were Bluford
Johnson, Gene Hogan and Johnny Goodman.
