She was born in Griffithville and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired factory worker for American Greeting and a member of the First General Baptist Church in Trumann.Â
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wesley Hancock; one son, Lloyd Hancock; two great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother and her parents, Earl and Monnie James Britton.
Survivors include four daughters and son-in-laws, Pat and Larry Runyan and Carolyn & Tony Holt both of Trumann; Emma and Randy Ingram of Jonesboro and Joyce & Johnny Reed of Bay; a son, Floyd & Marlene Hancock of Trumann; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in the chapel of Thompson Funeral home with Rev. Darrell Miller and Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers were Norman Hancock, Bobbie Hatcher, Wesley Runyan, Derek Easley, Matt Hartley, Tim Hill and Jerry Garrison.
Honorary pallbearers were Delvin Harlan, A.C. Stacy, Joe Latham, Shorty Hargrove, Eugene Richardson and Maylon White.
