Willie Mae Reeves

Willie Mae Reeves of Trumann died Friday, August 25 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 87.

She was born in Alabama and had lived in Trumann for most of her life. She was a retired employee of Singer in Trumann and was the former pastor of Payneway Pentecostal Church in Payneway.

Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Reeves Sr.; three daughters: Janie Stewart, Earlene Pennington and Judy Reeves; three sons: Lonnie Reeves, Jr., J. D. Reeves, and Donald Reeves; and her parents, Erie and Icie Adena Carter Haskett.

Survivors include two daughters: Dorothy Nichols of Ola and Adena McMasters of Corning; 20 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating.

Burial followed in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
