Pearl Mae Simmons

Mrs. Pearl Mae Simmons was born Monday, September 26 the daughter of the late John Willie and Loyd Oriole Clark. Mrs. Simmons died Wednesday Sept. 20 2006, at River Valley Nursing Home in Fort Smith at the age of 78. She was born in Harrisburg and had lived in Jonesboro and Trumann most of her lifetime before moving to Fort Smith six years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Simmons, one brother, two sisters and her parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen Hurst of Alma; two sons, Ray Simmons of Memphis and Mark Simmons of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Jeff Simmons, Tanner Simmons, Chris Hurst, Ladd Hurst and Karla Dunn and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were be Friday, Sept. 22 at the Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro with Rev. B. J. Thomas, Rev. Russ Whittingham, Rev. Tim Sullivan and Rev. John Chance officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers were be Chris Hurst, Ladd Hurst, Levi Dunn, Tanner Simmons, Jeff Simmons, Mark Simmons and Ray Simmons.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary United Pentecostal Church, 5312 South Caraway, Jonesboro, Ark.
