Born in Lunsford, she had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was a retired employee of the former Salant & Salant Company in Trumann and a member of the Trumann Revival Center.
Peeler was preceded in death by her husband, Gobel Peeler in 1982; one daughter, Peggy Barker; two grandchildren, Adam and Jamie Peeler; one sister; nine brothers and was the daughter of the late John Isaac and Martha Willis Creech Richardson.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Cavenar of Jonesboro and Judy Hendrix of Williamson, Ga.; four sons, Terry Peeler of Carlisle, Carey Peeler of Trumann, Shane Peeler and Kip Peeler both of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ruth Baker of Trumann and Ruby Hammons of Jonesboro; one brother, Troy Richardson of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 13 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
