He was born on Sunday, June 8, 1930, in Trumann the son of the late Albert and Audie Dobb Guffey. He had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann, and was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Guffey was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice McIntire and Elda Broughton and his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Jo Guffey, Conney Guffey and Donna Waggoner all of Trumann; two sons, Donnie Joe Guffey and Raymond Lynn Guffey both of Trumann; a sister, Juanita Kimmons of Love Park, Ill.; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 25 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Lloyd Rhoads officiating. Burial followed in the Bowman Cemetery in Bowman.
Pallbearers were Raymond Guffey, Michael Lemons, Christopher Holman, Jackie Taylor, Joe Waggoner and Charles Laire.
