Ruby Harris

Ruby Harris, 78, of Bay died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born in Sanburg, Tenn. to Ronal and Maggie Rodgers Lynch and had been a homemaker and factory worker who had worked for several factories in the area. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church and the Caregiver's Sunday School Class.

She was survived by two daughters, Lynda Duggin and Dianne Storr, both of Bay; three grandchildren, Samuel Conley Duggin, serving in the army and stationed in Korea, John William Duggin of Blytheville and Sybil Katherine Storr Petty of Bay; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Danyelle Petty of Bay and one great-grandson, Michael Neal Willing of Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Conley Harris; one daughter, Carol Lee Harris; her father, Ronal Lynch; her mother, Maggie Rodgers Lynch; six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 21 at the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Burial followed in the Nettleton Cemetery with Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in charge.

Active pallbearers were Doyle Duggin, Daniell Storr, Samuel Duggin, John Duggin, Vernon Petty III and Vernon Petty II. Honorary pallbearers were the Caregivers Sunday School Class from Walnut Street Baptist Church.

The family requests memorial be sent to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock or the Walnut Street Baptist Church building fund.
