Robert Smith Jr., 48, of Marked Tree died Dec. 14, 2006 at the VA hospital in Memphis of cancer.

He was born Nov. 13, 1958 in Marked Tree and was a Marine and a member of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Smith Jr.; one son, Robert Smith III and two brothers, Harold Lacy and Lawrence Smith.

He is survived by one daughter Miesha Shannon of Detroit, Mich.; three sons, Christopher Smith of Trumann, Christopher Shannon and Christopher Smith, both of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Joann McKinney of Marked Tree, Rosie Lee Smith of Jonesboro, Gloria Dunhoo of Trumann and Felicia Smith of Marked Tree; five brothers, Leodis Bradley of Blytheville, Nathaniel Lacy of Jonesboro, Roosevelt Smith of Marked Tree, Willie C. Smith and Shannon Smith, both of Little Rock and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 17 at Living Waters Ministry Church in Marked Tree with Elder Larry Crockett officiating. Burial followed at Cherry Beam Cemetery in Tyronza.
