Goldie Leffie Short

Goldie Leffie Short died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at the Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trumann at the age of 87.

Born on Saturday, Jan. 11, 1919, in Marked Tree, she was the daughter of the late Wheeler and Nora Miller Short. She lived most of her lifetime in Trumann and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include nine nieces, Mary Ann Mitchell of Colt, Betty Hogland of Kansas, Lois Collett of Oklahoma, Bonnie Tesch of Kansas, Louise Raymond of Bald Knob, Lucille Moreland, Kay Presley and Marilyn Keffier all of Trumann and Doris Exum of Batesville; four nephews, Raymond Williams of Trumann, Franklin Williams of Forrest City, James Williams of Marked Tree and Jerry Williams of Batesville.

Graveside services were Monday, Dec. 18 at the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg with Rev. Rickey Forbis officiating. Burial was under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
