Linda Carol Cole

Linda Carol Cole, 58, of Harrisburg died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006 in an automobile accident near her home in Harrisburg.

She was born July 14, 1948 in Harrisburg, the daughter of Raymond Burgess and Leona James Burgess. She was a lifetime resident of Trumann and Harrisburg and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg where she was a volunteer helper with AWANA. She married JB Cole on January 14, 1967 and would have celebrated 40 years together next month. She was employed by Wolverine and TJ Max in Jonesboro and enjoyed painting and shopping.

In addition to her parents she was receded in death by five brothers, Geraldean Burgess, Junior Burgess, Charles Burgess, Terry Burgess and Howard Burgess and one sister, Marydale Tucker.

She is survived by her husband, JB Cole of the home; two daughters, Cindy Cole of Paragould and Malinda Creekmore of Harrisburg; five brothers, Billy Burgess of Arizona, Jerry Burgess of Kentucky, Donald Burgess of Black Rock, Ronnie Burgess of Gena, La., and Donnie Burgess of Seymour, Ind.; two sisters, Betty Parks of Rockford, Ill. and Shirley Willard of Bakersville, Calif.; five grandchildren, Tara Gibson of Harrisburg, Justin Gibson of Paragould, Brittany Dillinger of Paragould, Madison Creekmore of Harrisburg and Chase Creekmore of Harrisburg and four great-grandchildren, Gage Gibson of Harrisburg, Grant Crouch of Harrisburg, Baylee Gibson of Paragould and Landen Gibson of Paragould.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 23 at the Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Terry Tacker officiating. Interment followed in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jeff Crouch, Mike Gibson, Rick Mielke, Ray Sharp, Michael Rorex and Don Neal.
