Mary Sue Nunnally

Mrs. Mary Sue Nunnally, 84, of Trumann died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007 at the family residence.

She was born in Dyersburg, Tenn., and had lived in Trumann since 1951. She was a retired restaurant owner, member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, First Baptist Young at Heart and a member of the United Methodist Women and First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Nunnally was preceded in death by her husband, Osee William Nunnally, Sr.; one sister, Gertie Allen; one brother, Robert Smithson and her parents, James Alvin and Ella Sue Arandall Smithson.

Survivors include four daughters, Brenda and Jackie Moon of Bay, Betty Kendrick and Diann and Jimmy Moss both of Trumann and Jo Ann and Roy Xanders of Golconda, Ill.; two sons, George and Beth Nunnally of Bentonville and Osee, Jr. and Sandy Nunnally of Trumann; one sister, Hazel Webb of Trumann; two brothers, James Alvin Smithson of Olive Branch, Miss., and J.W. Smithson of Trumann; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann with Rev. Jim Wilson and Rev. Jim Thresher officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers were Gan Nunnally, Will Nunnally, Jeff Stewart, Jeff Winchester, Greg Whitlock and Terry Matney.

Honorary pallbearers were Chris Moss, Chad Moss, Mark Richie, Heath Hendrix and Eric Pagen.

Memorial may be made to First United Methodist Church and St. Bernard's Hospice.
