Born in Fargo, Ga., she lived in Trumann for 34 years and was formerly of Seattle, Wash. She was a housewife and member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Elmo "Bo" Parrish, two sisters, four brothers and her parents, William Sylvester and Mary Ola Ribron Chauncey.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kelley of Acworth, Ga., and Barbara New of Trumann; five sisters, Nettie Johns of Waycross, Ga., Ollie Shank of Churubusco, Ind., Arrie Dann of Fulton, N.Y., Louise Illum of Los Angeles Calif., and Alma Foreman of Jupiter, Fla., one brother, Allan Chauncey of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Victor Kelley, Melanie New and Cletis "C.J." New, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Maple Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
