Virginia Mae Owens

Virginia Mae "Ginger" Owens, 71, of Trumann died, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Campbell, Mo. on Friday, March 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma Zelta Strong Campbell. She had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a housewife and member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Owens in 1996; three sisters and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Owens and Melissa Roberts both of Trumann; three sons, Dale Owens, Ronnie Owens and Gary Owens all of Trumann; three sisters, Joann Waltrip of Keiser, Shirley Winkles of Trumann and Barbara Winkles of Jonesboro; five brothers, Harold Campbell of Wynne, Virgil Campbell, Wayne Campbell and Allen Campbell all of Trumann and Dale Campbell of Cherokee Village; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 23 at the Church of God of Prophecy Christy Street Ext. in Trumann, with Rev. Arvil Tribble, Rev. Gary Barker and Rev. Larry Tribble officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers were Gene Benson, Jerry Murphy, Junior Hill, Gary England, Russell Page, Jerry Vinson and Larry Cossey.
