He was born in Weona and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a retired truck driver, an Army Paratrooper and communication specialist of the Vietnam War, prison minister and a deacon of the Landmark Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Wayne Stout; one brother, James Earl Stout and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stout of the home; three daughters, Karen Dye of Panama City, Fla., Norma Perry of Morrow, Ark., and Tricia Woodard of Springdale; three sons, Edward Stout Jr., Phillip Stout and Gary Stout all of Trumann; two sisters, Patsey Randall and Marie Cookey both of Springdale; three brothers, Jerry Stout, James Stout and Marvin Stout all of Springdale; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 1 at the Landmark Worship Center in Trumann with Rev. Jeffrey Pope officiating. Burial followed in the Potters Cemetery in Lepanto under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Active pallbearers were Brad Dye, Gary Stout, Phillip Stout, Edward Stout, Randy Stout and Steven Stout.
Honorary pallbearers were Orville Halsey, Nathan Floyd and Richard Tippitt.
