Deanna Jean Evans

Deanna Jean Evans died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at the family residence in

Weiner at the age of 63.

Born in Manila on Friday, April 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late

Paul Albert and Jessie Lee Jenkins Lawrence. She had lived in Weiner for the

past 31 years and was formerly of Aurora, Ill. She was a homemaker and of

the Church of God faith.

Evans was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Paul Lawrence;

son-in-law, Jerry Cunningham and her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert Evans of the home; three daughters,

Regina Hudgens of Jonesboro, Rhonda Poff of Harrisburg and Devonda Pillow of

Marmaduke; two sons, Allen Gaskins and Randall Evans both of Jonesboro; two

sisters, Linda Pipkin of Trumann and Sheila Carter of Vandale; one brother,

Bobby Lawrence of Trumann; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral

Home with Rev. John Threat, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Holly

Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Pallbearers were Harrell Poff, Todd Pillow, Mike Hudgens, Jayson Cunningham,

Daniel Poff, Scott Carter and Corey Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Roger

Evans and Garry Carter.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
