Elmer Lynn Evans died Friday, April 27, 2007 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 52.

Born in Poinsett County on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1955, Evans was the son of the late Elmer and Cora Bell Shaw Evans. He had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Smith and Mary Bell Evans and his parents.

He is survived by one brother, James Evans of Trumann and two sisters, Judy Vaughn and Janis Ashlock both of Gainesville, Texas.

Graveside services were Monday, April 30 at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro with Joseph Lyons officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers were Raymond Asher, Rhew Bales, Ted Bingham, Woefud Conatser, Leroy May and Jerry McKinney.
