Alan Marple, 43, of Harrisburg died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born Aug. 10, 1963 in Blythe, Calif., the son of Andy Marple and Barbara Ferguson Marple.

Marple was a heavy equipment operator and carpenter. He married Laura Qualls in 1981 and they enjoyed 26 years together. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, drawing, riding three wheelers and horses.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Marple of the home; two sons, Brian Alan Marple and Cris Marple, both of Harrisburg; one daughter, Autumn Dianne Marple; three brothers, John Marple of Harrisburg, Lonny Marple Sr. of Garland, Tex. and Ronny Marple of Trumann; one sister, Pat Partin of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Brian Ethan Marple and Hanna Marple.

Funeral services were Wednesday, June 6 at the Weston Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Interment followed in Farm Hill Cemetery.
