She was born Saturday, Nov. 17, 1923 in Sturkie and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Jonesboro five years ago. She was retired from the Singer Company and a member of the First Christian Church in Trumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Everett Haynes; two grandsons, Aaron Poff and Brian Haynes; a sister, Aileen Barger and her parents, Henry Forrest and Ethel Cates Sturkie.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy and Tom Burton of Jonesboro; Carol and Keith McClung of Trumann; three sons, Ronnie and Stella Haynes of Marietta, Ga., Roger and Carol Haynes of Sheridan, and Ricky and Debbie Haynes of Jonesboro; 17 grandchildren and11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 9 at the First Christian Church in Trumann with Rev. Leonard Harp officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
Pallbearers were Gary Darr, Gary Baldwin, Mike Campbell, Arden Robinson Jr., Bruff Poyner and Donnie Wright.
Honorary pallbearers were C.W.F. members, Dr. Scott Stubblefield, Dr. Floyd Smith, Rev. Marlin Gennings, Bennie Crews, Darrell Reese and members of FCC.
