Carolyn Walker Ritter

Carolyn Walker Ritter, 54, of Olive Branch, Miss. died Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Methodist Germantown Health Center in Germantown, Tenn.

Ritter was born in Jonesboro, had lived for the past six years in Olive Branch and was formerly of Dallas, Tex. and Trumann. She was a ticket agent for American Airlines and a member of The Pentecostal Church in Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Walker and one sister, Kathryn Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Ritter of the home; three daughters, Janet Mitchell of Covington, Kent., Mary Ellen Mitchell of Norwood, Ohio, and Jennifer Overstreet of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sons, Charles Mitchell of Marked Tree and Jeremy Ritter of Austin, Tex.; mother, Evelyn Harmon Walker of Marked Tree; two brothers, David Walker and Paul Walker both of Marked Tree and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 31 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann with Rev. Terry Black officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Stephen Overstreet, Hall Bridgforth, Philip Flowers, Jimmy Droke, Charles Durham, Jason Neier and Mike England. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Easter and Troy Moss.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
