Mr. William Ray "Bill" Moss, 80 of Trumann, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Moss was born in Trumann and had lived at Plantation Homes where he enjoyed life and made many friends for the past 12 years. He retired from the Army as 1st Sgt., after 25 years of service, having served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Shriners and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Moss; one granddaughter, Wendy Conway Proffitt; seven brothers and his parents, John Watson and Annie Mae Sanders Moss.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William Ray Moss Jr. and Diane Moss of Trumann; three sisters, Gracie King, Gladys Moss and Joann "Mildred" Woolbright all of Trumann and one brother, Otto "Toad" Moss of Mulberry Fla.

Funeral services were private.
