Herman Edward Gairhan

Herman Edward Gairhan, 85, of Trumann, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at the family residence.

He was a lifetime resident of Trumann. He was a retired farmer and supervisor for General Electric in Jonesboro, was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp in World War II and Korean war, member of the American Legion, VFW and of the Church of Christ faith.

Gairhan was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Aunita Gairhan; one brother, William Gairhan and his parents, Nathan G. and Emma Lorene Akins Gairhan.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Gairhan and wife, Susie, of Trumann and Terry Gairhan and wife, Debbie, of Jonesboro; one sister, Marie Depriest of Malden, Mo.; three brothers, Earl Gairhan of Jonesboro, Paul Gairhan and Wayne Gairhan, both of Trumann, and four grandchildren, Christopher (Missy) Gairhan, Emily (Matt) Boyd, Micha Gairhan and Zachary Gairhan and one great-grandson, Grayson Gairhan.

Funeral service were Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bill Willard officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Gairhan, Scott Gairhan, Zachary Gairhan, Christopher Gairhan, Charles Gairhan and Matt Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Evans, Hershel Wyatt, Bob Slinkard and Jerry McKinney.
