Carl Dewayne Stevens, 60, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 23, 1947, at Jonesboro. He worked as a piano assembly worker.

He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army. He liked the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Ann Stevens of the home; his mother, Norma Lee Stevens of Jonesboro; a son and his wife, Kelly Dewayne and Ashley Stevens of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jerry Stevens of Altus, Okla., and Jackie Stevens of Jonesboro; three sisters, Betty Sue Davis of Jonesboro, Ester Cobb of Brookland and Ollie Torbert of Aurora, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Allyson Payton Stevens and Kelsey Taylor Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virnis Stevens; and a sister, Patricia Stevens.
