Ruby Earline Waters

Ruby Earline Waters, 94, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born on Monday, November 24, 1913, the daughter of the late John Lewis and Elizabeth in Waterloo, Ala. She had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired timekeeper from the former Singer Company and a member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Waters; a daughter, Shirley Waters; two sisters; four brothers and her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Billie and Bob Maloney of Jonesboro; one son, Wayne and Lawanda Waters of Trumann; one sister, Sue Frala of Downey, Calif.; three grandchildren, Michelle and Jarrod Childers, Stacey and Lyle Kennedy and Michael and Stephanie Maloney all of Jonesboro and five great-grandchildren, Danielle Childers, Sarah Childers, Tommy Maloney, Kennedy Maloney and Madison Kennedy and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 9 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann with Rev. Bill Maxwell and Rev. Gene Hogan officiating. Burial follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Central Missionary Baptist Church, 610 W Speedway in Trumann.
