He was born Caraway and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a service representative for Dupont and was a deacon at the Elm Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Alan Goodman and his parents, Wince and Nancy Evelyn Mavrey Goodman.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Goodman of the home; one daughter, Karen Brock of Trumann; three sons, Dennis and Linda Goodman, David and Deborah Goodman and Robert and Cynthia Goodman all of Trumann; one sister, Mildred and Jay Gibson of Abilene, Tex.; one brother, Ruben W. and Wave Goodman of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan 21 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Gene Hogan and Rev. Leonard Knight officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Greg Anderson, Adam Anderson, Billy McCorkle, Jimmy Kilgore, Johnny Blagg and Chris Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Holt and Allen Hamilton.
