Maggie Loretta Toler Moore

Maggie Loretta Toler Moore, 85, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born on Monday, October 9, 1922, daughter of the late Thomas Monroe and Mary Lou Burns Toler. She was born in Paragould and had lived in Trumann most of her lifetime before moving to Jonesboro four years ago.

She was a 1941 honor graduate of Stanford High School, was a retired inspector from the former Singer Company and a member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ.

She was married to Russell R. "Doc" Moore in 1941 and was preceded in death by him in 2002. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle Allison; twp brothers, Johnny Toler and William "Dink" Toler; and her parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Patsy and Gerral Barrett of Ash Flat; two sons, Tommy Moore of St. Louis and Johnny Mack Moore of Mason, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Tommy Moore Jr., Kim Moore and Cindi Moore all of St. Louis and Rhonda Pagan of Trumann; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sadie Toler of Paragould, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 25 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bill Willard officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Rhew Bales, Jerry McKinney, Leroy Dobbins, William Carter, Charles Gobbell and Raymond Asher.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Spangler, Greg Spangler, Joey Spangler and Chris Spangler.

Family members wish to extend a special thanks to St. Elizabeth's Place for the excellent care given to their mother the past few years.
