He was born on Friday, December 3, 1937, son of the late Jesse and Lula Jackson Ferguson in Des Arc. He lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a farmer, musician who loved to sing and play his guitar and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by one son, Neil Ferguson and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Dunning Ferguson of the home; two daughters, Annie and Jason Hill of Herrin, Ill., and Tiona and Ed Overturf of Benton, Ill.; two sons, Robert and Cheryl Ferguson of Marion, Ill., and Matt and Michelle Ferguson of Jonesboro; one sister, Annie Pempek of Wisc.; one half-brother, Sheryl Foshee of Anna, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday Feb. 18 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. John Goodwin officiating. Burial followed in the Willis Cemetery near Trumann.
Pallbearers were Brian Hill, Joshua Wilson, Jerry Vlasak, Jason Norris, Jerry Don Dunning and Ron Carter.
