He was born in Trumann on Monday, December 18, 1950, son of the late Allie "Cap" and Robbie Mae Pickering Holt.
Holt had lived in Jonesboro since 1988 and had moved back to Trumann in 2004. He was disabled and of the Pentecostal faith.
Holt was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Honhke and Boyce Ann Evans; three brothers, J.C. Holt, R.D. Holt and Robert Holt and his parents.
Survivors include two sisters, Hettie Mae Presley of Jonesboro, Georgia Jean Allen of Elkhart, Ind.; four brothers, Ted Holt of New Troy, Mich., Rev. William C. "Dub" Holt and James E. Holt of Jonesboro and Allie W. Holt of Judsonia, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 26 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. William C. "Dub" Holt and Rev. Frankie Hardwick officiating. Burial followed in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Terry Presley, Andy Deason, Brain Holt, Neil Parris, Jerry Don Clark and Gary Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ray H. Hall Jr., Dr. Stephen O. Woodruff, Brannon T. Treece, Dr. Eumar T. Tagupa, Dr. William Hubbard, Dr. Meredith Walker and Dr. Yuanyuan Long.
