Miss Mildred Marie Walker, 91, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on Wednesday, May 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Doss E. and Mabel Irene Whaley Walker. Miss Walker.

She was born in Sulphur Rock and had lived in Trumann for the past 57 years and was formerly of Nettleton. She was a retired clerk and member of the First Pentecostal Church.

Miss Walker was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Kennedy; two brothers, Edward and Russell Walker; two nieces, Carolyn Walker Ritter and Kathy Walker; one nephew, Robert Kennedy, and her parents.

Survivors include one sister, Doris Walker of the home; and one brother, C.G. Walker of Trumann.

Funeral services were Wednesday April 30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Murray Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Robert Blasingame, Harold King, Ernie Nichols, Harold Pankey, Donnie Taylor and Bill Wilson.
