He was born in Parsons, Tenn. and had lived in Trumann for the past one and a half years. He was a retired cutting room supervisor for Salant and Salant, an avid outdoorsman and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Houston was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Martha Knight Houston; two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Houston of the home; two daughters, Susy Houston of Parson, Tenn. and Amy Karrigan of Allen, Tex.; one step-son, Kevin Watkins of Trumann and two granddaughters, Madison Karrigan and McKenna Karrigan and two step-grandsons, Tyler Watkins and Daniel Watkins
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 20 at the First General Baptist Church in Trumann with Bro. Jimmy Burroughs and Kevin Watkins officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kristopher Karrigan, Tyler Watkins, Daniel Watkins, Tony Holt, Gary Smith and Michael Smith
