She was born in Mississippi, and had lived in Trumann for 45 years moving from Bay. She was retired from the Singer plant in Trumann and a member of the Church of God in Trumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd Banks; two daughters, Rhonda McGuire and Shelby Burns and by one son, John Travis "Buddy" Banks.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Banks of Blytheville; four daughters, Fair Rouse of Trumann, Catherine Brown of Jonesboro, Linda Vaughn of Paragould and Christine Roach of Mountain home; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were June 1 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Nichols, Greg Rouse, Shannon Rouse, Chatley Banks, Wesley Mangrum, and Wade Brown
