Faye Ann Smith, 95, of Marion died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Willowbend At Marion. She was born in Marked Tree and had lived in Marion for the past 5 years.

She was formerly a resident of the Freer Community near A former sales clerk for Guy's Discount Center in Trumann, she was a member of the Avondale Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis.

Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Danzil A. "Dink" Smith, two sons, Bobby Smith and Larry Smith, and two sisters. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Callie Trustee Blackwell.

Survivors include one son, Billy Smith of Taylor, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Loyce Smith of Ashland, Miss.; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 19, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. Rev. Harley Kersey officiated. Three song selections were performed at the service by her grandson, Steve Smith.

Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Ed Davis, Larry Don Smith, Steve Smith, Gary Lynn Smith, Ben Dixon and Zach Kersey.
