The East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging is participating in a Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program. The purpose of the Farmer's Market program is to improve the nutrition of the elderly and to increase the consumption of Arkansas produce.

Seniors aged 60+ whose income does not exceed 185% of poverty guidelines are eligible for coupons totaling $50.00. (Individual $1,603 or a couple $2,158.) The coupons can be redeemed with eligible farmer's markets/farmers that sell fruits and vegetables grown in Arkansas.

Applications for the coupons will be accepted from July 16 through July 25 at any Area Agency office.

The people that receive the coupons will be randomly chosen by a computerized drawing. Participants will be notified only if they are selected.
